|Our Service Dog is certified in Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).
AAA/AAT (therapy) dogs are trained to do tasks for people as well as interacting with them as directed by their handlers. They are expected to work reliably with others, often amidst many distractions.
Achieve handlers work with Marlee Jane in dual roles using service tasks in their outreach work with clients. Marlee Jane may retrieve a dropped object, help pull the covers on or off a person, or fetch an object across the room. In addition, she may show off a bevy of "tricks" built upon service tasks, which she will perform during her AAA/T work.
Marlee Jane has performed extensive AAA/T work with people who have Alzheimer's, dementia, and autism.
She is highly dependable in her abilities to remain unstressed by unexpected emotional or physical outbursts or erratic behaviors. She has excellent resiliency and adaptability.
